"Elia" complex has taken its name from the original name of Meronas village in Amari and is ready to offer you the famous Cretan hospitality. It is a newly built complex in an attractive location, harmoniously integrated with its natural environment.
The original name of the village was "Elia", which means "bright" and "sunny". Its location offers spectacular views and the caves are of great geological interest. Along the lovely streets and foot paths of the village, archaeological monuments and famous Cretan products can be found. The hospitable and friendly mood of its residents make Meronas a unique and special destination. The countryside with its dense vegetation around the complex is ideal for walks, excursions and other alternative activities.
It consists of three two-room furnished units with all the modern comforts: fireplace, radiator, a/c, tv, two bathrooms, one double bed, a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Every house can accommodate up to 4 people. They also have a view over the valley of Amari and Psiloritis.

It consists of three studios with all the modern comforts: fireplace, radiator, a/c, tv, internet, one bathroom, one double bed, a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Every studio can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 kids. They also have a view over the valley of Amari and Psiloritis.

It consists of three double rooms with all the modern comforts: radiator, a/c, tv, one bathroom, one double bed, a single bed and a balcony with Psiloritis view. Every room can accommodate up to 2 adults 1 kid. They also have a view over the valley of Amari and Psiloritis.
The complex has a tavern with traditional Cretan dishes, where you can enjoy the well cooked local meat of the area, vegetables from the village, cheese and recipes prepared with excellent virgin olive oil from the valley.
The cellar of the complex can supply you with local goods such as wine, raki, honey, olive oil, herbs and desserts.
At Meronas the cultural events that are organized all year round bring you closer to the way of life and the traditions of its residents.
You can visit the archaeological monuments, the byzantine churches (Panagia), the caves of Agioi Deka and Mygiospilio, while in the centre of the village, there are the two faucets (Pagaliani and Mesochoriani) that refresh the passersby with water. In the wider area you can visit the gorge of Patsos or the barrier of Potamoi.
Closer to the village, there is the historic monastery of Arkadi, which is 9km away from Meronas. You can also visit Monastiraki, Thronos, and Veni or walk in the mountain areas of: Psiloritis, Samitos or Kedros.
